I have worked as a creative designer for over a decade, making good use of my illustration degree from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth (now the AUB).
I‘ve loved drawing since I was very young, filling any blank page I could get my hands on. This love of drawing was cultivated thanks to a family who were both encouraging and artistically inclined themselves. Thus, I sought to pursue art through education and beyond.
Having further developed my skills in the creative industry, I wanted to expand into other avenues of illustration and design. Over the past few years I have been asked to do commissions as presents for family and friends, and really enjoyed doing it. Therefore, it wasn’t a giant leap for me in deciding to expand my goals, including pursuing my lifelong passion of becoming a cartoonist (which I have now started by creating my own comics). So, if you need me for an illustrated commission, a cartoon/comic, or even your very own logo, I’m your man! I feel that my ability and creativity is matched by an excellent work ethic, good interpersonal and organisational skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
I’m currently based in Lancashire in the U.K., and if you would like to see samples of my work you can view them in the gallery, or you can find me on Instagram @jamesdrawseverything, and my comic-strip series @holdontoyourhatscomics can be found on there as well.
And, in case you were wondering, then yes - that is a very comfortable cardigan I’m wearing.
